Pressure Washing 2023 Summer
We’re in the full swing of things this year and 2023 has been a really busy year so far. We’ve been growing and now have two trucks and a hot water trailer that can handle any residential or commercial job thrown our way.
Here’s a couple of recent jobs from June and July that turned out really well.
Roof Cleaning Jobs
Roof Cleaning Job In Sussex
A couple recently purchased this house in Sussex and when they moved in noticed that most of their roof was covered with black streaks.
The technical name for this is Gleocapsa Magma; a form of bacteria that is very common in the Midwest and Southeastern Wisconsin.
Summer really promotes the growth of organic material due to the rising temps and high humidity. We treat these with low pressure and chemicals and the end results are usually stunning.
The pictures below speak for themselves!
As you can see, after these were treated and cleaned, the roof looks basically brand new!
This house was located in an area with a lot of trees and shade and this can contribute to organic material and bacteria growing on a roof. Luckily these can be treated for a fraction of the cost of replacing the roof.
Big Cedar Roof Cleaning
Lichens were present all over this roof. In fact it was so infested the homeowner had a call from their insurance company letting them know to get it cleaned.
This roof is located in another area with a lot of trees and shade so it is not uncommon to see a roof this affected. With gleocapsa magma from the example above, it is more of a cosmetic issue.
It’s pretty unsightly to look at but the integrity of the roof typically is not affected too much by it. With lichens and moss, it is a completely different story. These will actually feed off of the shingles and eat into them.
The result is a shortened lifespan of the roof if left untreated.
This roof was professionally cleaned by us this summer and looks incredible now!
Commercial Cleaning Jobs
Summer Commercial Pressure Washing In Sheboygan
The last couple of years the South Pier in Sheboygan has been a construction site. This is located directly next to Blue Harbor Resort.
If you’ve never stayed there, we highly recommend it as it is a beautiful property and a gem of Sheboygan!
We were tasked with cleaning up all the mud and dirt that had accumulated on site for the last couple of years. It’s not every day we get to work all day staring out into Lake Michigan on a beautiful summer day. What a site that was for the day!
We had both trucks and our trailer running full speed ahead from sun up to sun down that day.
House Washing Jobs
Various Vinyl Siding Washing
This first picture below was a house we washed earlier this summer in June in West Bend off River Rd. Soft washing with low pressure really makes a property shine after finishing!
By cleaning with soaps and not pressure, the property will remain cleaner for much longer. This is because the root cause has been addressed and eradicated.
With high pressure, you’re essentially just blasting the top layer off and not killing the algae. It may look ok for a bit but the organic growth will grow back much quicker and have those walls covered again in no time.
Here is a side view from a garage we washed in Glendale. Notice the soffits and gutters. Years of mildew and algae washed away.
The last picture below is from some condominiums we washed in Sheboygan earlier this summer in July. Every north side facing building looked like this and is now spot free.
Conclusion
As the summer continues on, we’re out there washing every day restoring residential and commercial properties.
