Complete Exterior Wash From Roof To Siding
We had the chance to help out a nice couple on the north side of Cedarburg last week just off Wauwatosa Rd.
They called us looking for an estimate to have their roof washed and siding cleaned. After taping outlets and protecting and covering any valuables, we started on the roof first.
As you can see from the picture at the top of the page, the roof turned out fantastic and removed all of the Gleocapsa Magma (black streaks) almost immediately after applying our low pressure non-damage soft wash solution.
Soft Washing Aluminum Siding
The siding of the house was aluminum and one of the concerns with aluminum siding is that it can become oxidized over time. Oxidization is a process where the sun has faded the siding over time and the paint is starting to fail. Because of this, the end result of a house wash on oxidized siding may look very splotchy or uneven, since siding rarely oxidizes evenly. The correct way to wash siding like this is by using very low pressure and standing back a little further than normal. For this particular job, we used our low pressure dedicated soft wash pump that puts out pressure equivalent to a garden hose but at a much higher flow.
The end result is a much safer, longer-lasting clean, as opposed to just taking high pressure and trying to eliminate organic growth (algae) that way. High pressure to siding, especially aluminum siding, is asking for trouble. You can see from the picture below just shows how incredibly clean this house came out after the whole house was soft washed.
