Pressure Washing Brick in Milwaukee
Over on the East Side of Milwaukee we washed a patio that consists of brick pavers. These were completely covered in dirt and algae and had years of built up organic growth on them. In the city, a lot of backyards have tons of shade due to the established trees. So these factors can lead to a lot of algae and moss. Restoring these pavers and flagstone to their near original condition was a fun project.
The house itself is a very large brick house that you typically see all over Milwaukee. With brick you need to be careful when pressure washing to avoid blowing out the mortar. Too much pressure can do some damage. Therefore, we approached this particular property by soft washing it with our specialty mix in order to destroy all of the algae on the bricks. After applying the solution we gave it a light rinse and the results were pretty incredible.
Soft Washing Vinyl in Bayside
This property in Bayside very well may have never been pressure washed in the past. The dormers and gutters were infested with algae on all sides. Typically pressure washing for some cases can be a DIY job, it’s just whether the customer wants to do the work or not. However, we usually recommend leaving it to the professionals when there is a lot of mold higher up and on dormers. Without high tech professional equipment, the homeowner will more than likely have to operate a pressure washer on a ladder. And that is anything but fun.
This cleaned up great and we were able to remove all of the dirt and growth from the house and garage. Now coming home from work the homeowners will surely feel a sense of pride and enjoyment when seeing their house.
Roof Cleaning in Brookfield
Having a roof with black streaks can become quite the eye sore. This homeowner in Brookfield was debating on replacing the roof but was told to call us to see if we could clean it rather than replace it. Being that the roof was approximately twenty year old, there was still roughly a third of it’s life left. Replacing the roof with almost ten years left would be unnecessary.
By cleaning it with low pressure and following the guidelines of the Asphalt Roofing Manufacturers Association, we were able to make this roof look beautiful again. For a fraction of the cost of replacing the roof, the homeowner saved a lot of money and will be able to get many more years out of this roof.
Cleaning Concrete in Mequon
This particular house in Mequon is just absolutely stunning. We were hired to clean all of the wood decking on the roof tops of the property as well as the concrete in the back. With the wood decking, much care is needed when attempting a job like this. Just taking a pressure washer to it without regard to the amount of pressure can tear that up pretty quickly. It is recommended to wash it by going along the direction of the wood and by also washing one board at a time.
The concrete surrounding the pool had been a while since it was professionally cleaned and the results were dramatic. There is also a small fire pit in the backyard that has a concrete slab on it. This picture speaks for itself and the home owners can now enjoy a nice and clean fire pit all year long.
Cedarburg House Washing
Back off of Susan Lane and pretty close to Willowbrooke Park is a neighborhood we work in a lot. This is another neighborhood with a lot of established trees which create a lot of shade. This house was almost completely covered in the shade and is why you notice so much algae.
The siding of this house is aluminum and that is one particular siding you really have to be careful with. Too much pressure and the pressure washer will leave permanent marks in the siding. This is one of the reasons why we employ a low pressure soft washing method to most houses; it’s safer to clean and the results can be literally stunning. By taking a look at the after pictures of this particular job, you can imagine just how happy this homeowner was when seeing the finished result.
Milwaukee Rust Removal
On older homes, especially if the windows are original, rust will run down the siding. This is fairly common to see because over time the metal in the windows just leeches out and drips down the siding creating the rust. Removing rust on aluminum siding can be an issue because you can have a tendency to take the paint off with the rust when applying a cleaner. The key is to find the good balance between removing the rust and keeping the paint intact.
This particular home owner was planning on selling their house and wanted to fetch the maximum price they could. Located in Whitefish Bay, homes will almost always sell at a premium as this is a very desirable suburb of Milwaukee. I would image the return on income after hiring us was extremely high. For a reasonable amount to hire us to come out and address these rust issues, the home owner can turn around and add at least another $10,000 to their selling price.
